thermodynamically...

Is life more defined by the path taken or by the state reached?

Thermodynamically, is life a path function or a state function?

I'd say that life is more defined by the state reached than the path taken..because the world recognizes the state reached first and then maybe the path taken..moreover it is the state reached decides whether the life is successful or not.
the state to be reached defines the path..if this defined path is not proper and fine, the state reached would never be the destination..in this case the path taken defines the state reached(which is definitely not the destination).
